I lived in Freeport for 32 years before moving into my van. Freeport has several parks, but Krape Park has always been my favorite 🥰 Did you know Krape Park is spelled the same both forward and backward? 😅

I am putting this place in my Places To Go and Things To See document. 🙂 No, I didn’t catch the name is the same forward and backward. Whoever named it was pretty fun!

If you’re also looking for nearby stuff to do, you might consider Lake Le-Aqua-Na State Park in Lena IL. It’s about 15-20 minutes from Freeport. I camp there, walk there, and chill out there 💕 I was there this morning watching the geese play on the lake 😊
