We all have our challenges but this year was a super-duper-doozy! There were so many things I never expected to happen in both my personal life and worldly events.
I’ve shared some of my personal challenges here on the blog. As for worldly events, if you watch the news or scroll thru social media you’re already aware of the goings-on and there’s no need to rehash it here.
The best decision I made in 2024 was to keep moving forward.
Granted, sometimes the move forward was in leaps and bounds. Other times, it was a miniscule millimeter at a time.
It doesn’t matter how fast you move forward… it only matters THAT you move forward.
Weighing The Alternatives…
I’ve learned to get through adversities more quickly than I used to – especially the minor challenges.
However, when things go terribly wrong or an extremely scary event occurs, I sometimes go to a dark place. You know the place… worrying, feeling hopeless, utter despair, not knowing what to do, making rash decisions, and so on.
A couple decades or so ago, I spent most of my time wallowing in the bottomless pit of hopelessness and despair. I thoroughly marinated myself in The Pit and was unable to see anything other than doom.
Thankfully I pulled myself out of that darned pit!
Now-a-days, I may briefly visit The Pit but I don’t dwell there for long. It’s not a fun place to be and I quickly choose the alternative… to keep moving forward.
As For 2025…
I have no clue what 2025 has in store for the world or for myself. But the simplest plan any of us can make is to keep moving forward.
As for my 2025 New Years Resolutions, the only resolution I ever kept was to never make another New Years Resolution… and I’m not breaking my winning streak now!
Parting Thoughts…
I’m currently in south Florida visiting Nikki. It’s been unseasonably cool. The lizards and other critters may not appreciate the cool temperatures but I’m enjoying it.
I wish everyone a Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and a Happy New Year 2025!
Before you go I’d like to know…
